About Us

Women in Wales is a registered charity with a committee that organise the Women in Wales annual Luncheon. The purpose of the charity is to fundraise at the Luncheon to support children’s projects in Wales which are selected after application by the Trustees of the charity.

The first Luncheon was held in 1992 and has been held annually ever since with the exception of lockdown. Over the past 30 years the event has raised close to £1m which has been donated to Save the Children projects both in Wales and overseas and since registering as a charity to various children’s projects in Wales.

The luncheon continues to grow and is now attended by more than 400 women every year. The Trustees of the charity comprises of a team of dedicated professional women who work throughout the year to organise the luncheon. This not only involves the fundraising activities on the day itself but also securing support from corporate organisations who sponsor the event or advertise in the event programme.
