WOMEN IN WALES CHARITY DONATES £25,000 TO FUND THE WALES SAVE THE CHILDREN BUILDING BLOCKS PROJECT AND THE PYLE KPC YOUTH & COMMUNITY PROJECT

Raising funds for children’s projects in Wales is at the heart of the Women in Wales committee and on 10th June Trustees of the charity were delighted and proud to donate £25,000 to fund two vital local projects in Wales. One cheque for £15,000 was accepted on behalf of Save the Children by Lucy Potter and the second cheque for £10,000 was accepted on behalf of KPC Youth & Community by Alison Mawby.

The money was raised at the 27th annual Women in Wales Luncheon on Friday 22nd March at the Sophia Gardens stadium, Cardiff and was hosted by Ruth Wignall of ITV Cymru Wales.

Kathryn Austin, Marketing Director of Pizza Hut UK provided guests with an inspirational speech while the singing waiters and James Williams entertained the 400 guests with their performances during a wonderful afternoon of entertainment and fundraising.

Loulou Boutique showcased their summer fashion ranges throughout the lunch. The fabulous auction items provided money can’t buy items and experiences. The raffle was exceptional this year with over 40 wonderful prizes all kindly donated by businesses and supporters of this annual event.
